NewsletterHello Everyone! I hope you are finding a cool spot to quilt! This is a good time of year to do some
handwork and carry along projects to the pool, beach or wherever you go to on
vacation. I am almost ready for Hershey. Just a few last minute things and I will be
ready to pack for the show. I hope you get a chance to see the show. It is always a great show with lovely quilts and great vendors, if I say so myself!
This year there will be a special antique quilt exhibit of
Four Block Design Quilts from Pat and Arlan Christ’s collection. This will be the first time that these quilts
have been shown. Pat and Arlan have also
published a catalog called
In our booth we will be featuring a challenge display
“Thinking Outside of the Box”. Those of
us that work the booth decided to do this challenge last year while we were
working at the show. We each had a piece
of fabric chosen for us that was not our normal fabric selection. We could use that fabric and add whatever we
wanted to in order to complete our quilt. Our goal was to have it finished by this show and then display it and
ask for your help to vote for your favorite! Each one is so different! I hope
you will stop by and vote and that you will enjoy seeing what we came up with!
We will also have quilts on display using two new
tools. The x block and the batting
buddy! Both tools make such fun
quilts! We will also have quilts made
using Bonnie Hunter’s patterns and by Marci Patch! And new this year an original quilt design by my daughter in
law, Hope to see you there! Quilt Odyssey in July 22-25, 2010 Thurs. – Sat. 10-6; Sun. 10-4
